Transfer Schedule

1 October to 30 April:
  • Leaves Picton: 8:00 am, 10:00am, 1:30pm & 6:00pm
  • Arrival back in Picton: 11:30am, 1:00pm & 4:30pm (approx) every day during peak season (Dec – Easter)
  • Arrival back in Picton: 8:30pm.
  • A service to Grove Arm departs daily at 11:30am & 2:30pm.
1 May to 30 September
  • Leaves Picton: 9:00am, 1:30pm & 5:30pm on Fridays.
  • Arrival back in Picton: 12noon & 4.30pm (approx).

Queen Charlotte Track transport

Transport by water to the Queen Charlotte Track is one of the highlights of the Marlborough Sounds.

All transport departs from Cougar lines centrally located office on the waterfront in Picton, or by arrangement from the ferry terminal. Travel is aboard one of the Cougar Line's luxury catamarans.

All track destinations can be accessed at least twice daily on our scheduled services. Special charters are available by appointment. The Cougar Line operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year and has no minimum passenger number requirements.

Daily track transfers

The Cougar Line's daily scheduled departures offer a chance for casual visitors to book a one way passage to the track.

In the summer there are up to four daily departures to choose from. As the track can be accessed at many different entry points the prices and times vary from bay to bay. The more popular drop-off locations are: Ship Cove • Resolution Bay • Endeavour Inlet (Furneaux Lodge, Endeavour Holiday Resort or Punga Cove) • Torea Bay • Mistletoe Bay

Pack transfers

Cougar Line offers a complimentary pack transfer service for every biker or walker booking a Round Trip Track Pass.

Your luggage will be transferred each day to your accommodation of choice along the track. You need only carry a day- pack each day.

Luggage is carried at the owners risk. We take every effort to care for your pack but it passes through a number of hands every day therefore Cougar Line can take no responsibility for any damage that might occur in transit.
